National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)

NaNoWriMo is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing that began in California in 1999 and now has followers all over the world.  Beginning on 1 November, the goal is to write a 50,000 word novel by midnight on 30 November. This approach forces participants to lower their expectations, take risks, and write on the fly.

During November and then in December (for polishing the masterpiece!), Oxford’s own literary services agency Writers’ Workshop will guide participants of all ages through the process in a series of free courses.
